past work

My paintings provide a personal narrative on how it feels to reckon with the devastating environmental consequences of modern capitalism. The work asks viewers to consider something most of us typically ignore: how so many facets of our lives are intertwined with irreversible environmental destruction. The imagery I select touches on themes of food production, transit, electricity, future generations and the undervalued work of caring for our air, soil and water. Each image challenges us to consider what we can change, what the consequences are of our current system, and where we might look for solutions. I hope my work gives space for sitting with and processing the ecological crisis.
